Boston Beach is known for its "jerk" pork and chicken stands and could be considered the birthplace of the spicy jerk seasoning for which Jamaica is known. Boston beach jerk seasoning is a completely different type of "jerk" seasoning to what we are used to in the UK using green peppers, spring onions, and a more delicate blend of allspice, and thyme than commercial rubs. We still use Scotch Bonnet Chillies for an authentic flavour, but we have toned it down so that it is warm, but the whole family can enjoy it.
In Jamaica all the fresh ingredients are take and put into a food processor to create a paste, but we have spent several months working to replicate the flavours into a rub that you can use all year round.
Can be used as is on pork or chicken, or mixed with equal parts oil to create a paste.
